Tennis Scholarship for This Year

I'm back, did you miss me?

Sorry, seriously, I really have been busy blogging on  my IYFT blog, but I remembered last year, that I started this blog, so  now I need to finish what I started for you all.

I will be giving you tips weekly and sometimes even more often on how to get a  tennis scholarship, for free, tennis have become too expensive for parents and players, so this blog should help you be able to save a lot more money from now on. Expensive in this game have gotten out of hand and we need to put a stop to it, forward this post to other parents too, because you know they need this advice.

Parents and players have to realize that you can get a tennis scholarship and  cover expensive on a low budget, they( recruiters and coaches) don't want you to know this, that's why I'm telling you.

Most families can cut back on everything they spend their money on with tennis, just by asking for a discount more and not excepting the first offers all the time.  The goal you you is to look for more ways to save money and  not sacrifice the quality of coaching your child gets and you will.

Lessons too,  they don't have to be that expensive for your  families, there are plenty of videos on Yutube, this along with a group lesson one time of week, and that should be  enough training after your child has reach a certain lesson with his/her game. Then then your job is to build a team around them, this consist of the parent/player/friends/ mentor.

The mentor can be a coach that he gets advice from weekly or something, but after the development stage of a player, the junior player needs to get their team in place.

Those are just a few tips , I'm going to be giving you ,more tips here are on the way, to make your life easier as a players and for your parents.

Every junior should be able to get and can get a tennis scholarship if they build a good team to support them and stay focus on the big picture, which should be to get a free education and see how far they can take their career in tennis.

So today, I want you to change your mindset on how much  money you will need to get that tennis scholarship, and start cutting back on everything that you don't need for  while.

I'll check back in with you soon.

The Serve

This is one of the most important strokes in tennis, the other being the return of serve. The first thing I want you to do is watch some of the pros with a smooth serve on tour to get a image of the serve you want to develop, then copy them to the best of your ability.

Fed and Serena are good players to start with, study them closely, try to see what makes their serve so fluid.

I feel this is the modern way to learn the serve or any other stroke in tennis, coaches and players have made this game more complicated then it really needs to be, thats why we need to throw all those techniques out the window. Its back to basic folks.

And remember stay loose on your serve, I find its tension that throw most players serve off!

You have to learn how to relax your whole body throughout the motion, here is the key,  focus on flowing  with your motion. But never try to crush the ball on your serve, its just a throwing motion, where the racket is moving up and out at contact.

The quicker you can learn to throw, the better your serve will be, but you have to practice more on the serve like any other strokes. Until, you can get the groove of it, then gain confidence to use it as a weapon for your game.

The serve is the one stage in play where you have complete control of the point, always remember this. Mental Toughness

Learn More, Study Less

This is a program that all student should take advantage of now, but for you players out there looking to get a tennis scholarship, this is a must! Its a program base on (Holistic Learning) were you connect patterns and things in a natural way instead of the traditional way of studying. The problem with the system now is the students are force or feel pressure when they are learning, so they in up, forgetting everything they learn, after school, just tell me how much you retained , that you can remember from  grade school? I bet not much, same with me, this is that kind of like that Zen method were nothing is force, you connect the dots in a relax and natural manner, or also called going with the flow when studying. Look, why not start learning how to study better now, so when you get to college you wont feel any pressure to keep your scholarship, because of your grades. Please try as many different methods that will help in your studies, that the bottom line okay. Learn better

Whats Working

When you are working towards getting your scholarship, find out what is working and keep doing it. I have my own  tennis scholarship program here in japan and the biggest problem I have getting through to the players and parents is that you have to get it simple, sit down with your parents and your coach, write it out, have everyone voice their concerns, then try to come up with some daily or weekly goals that you can achieve. Form there its just reviewing and revising your plan until you get the scholarship, the power doing what working can make the whole recruiting process easier for you. Always ask in the back of your mind( is this working or not), if it isn’t, quickly change your course, thats it, there is really no need to over think every move that you make. Just stick to the script! You will be fine. Tennis Scholarships

Create a Game

The fact is you create or have to create your own tennis game by yourself, first by getting a CLEAR vision of the type of player that you want to become, then never losing sight of it,at the same time while working you butt off to make it happen. This is the problem Im seeing missing in US tennis now, players are copying the pros and thats okay, but you have to make their style fit your game, I say this in every post because its so important, take what is useful and reject what is useless! You can use this with every part of your game, the goal is to develop a COMPLETE game and learn how to get in the FLOW when you play, this is a learning process, were I see a lot of players who are their own worst enemy. To have your game flow you must be concentrating all the time and focus on the job at hand, going with the flow, adjusting to the way the match is flowing. To sum it up, roll with it and win or fight it and LOSE! Create a Game
