Take Action

Hey guys, its a great day here in Kobe Japan. Today's tip is on taking action, the best thing you can do in getting your tennis scholarship is to plan and implement it quickly, in other words take action, then revise it as you go along. Try to get  a commitment from the school, you want to go to. If you can get your scholarship by your junior year, that would be ideal, then you can focus on preparing to leave during your senior year. This also take the pressure off you and helps you focus better, before you go to college. Become a action person today and be open to all possibilities, the key to your success, is how fast you implement the things you learn.  Never tell people what you are going to do, just do it. As for as your tennis game, get to work on the things you need work on and see if you can take action on improving some part of your game everyday. Inch by inch is a the best way to do this.  See if you can become a (ideal player) thats the type of tennis player you can become, if you put for the effort. This is also the most powerful step you can take to reach your full potential. So, why not go for it. Catch you guys later.Tennis items

Nothing is Easy

Hey guys its raining here in kobe, hope the weather is fine where you are. Today, I want to talk about tennis being just like life, is not fair. I just read a great piece on this. We always want things to be easy and fair. But the reality is life is what it is! You have to work hard, for what you want, then sometimes you still wont reach your goals. Guess what? Then you have to work more harder and persist longer. So, why don't we just call it like it is. If you want a scholarship and  reach your full potential, then be prepared to work your butt off! Develop a work ethic right now, that can't be question, tennis is just like life meaning ,you think you have master it and something else comes up. Just accept it and embrace it, this will make you a more stronger and better person. But nothing is easy, so stop wishing it was, and start trying to get better by working your tail off non-stop. With this mindset you should become a winner on and off the court. Now, go get that scholarship.Tennis products

Stop Thinking

Hey guys, how are you doing out there? Great day here in Kobe, Japan, today tip is about players over thinking. Players tend to think too much, when they play, so they never really get a good feel for their game. Tennis is a game a FEEL game, were you should let your instinct take over on the court. The key here, is to put in the work, then trust in your game. You don't need to OVER THINK every point, just decide what you are going to do, before the point and do it. Quick reaction is vital here, you don't have time to think, because things are happening too fast. Also during the match, don't let your mind wonder too much. Keep your mind on the job at hand. Notice how our minds seem to be all over the place sometimes, that why you have to train yourself to stay in the moment. It comes down to this, can you FOCUS. And over thinking, is not being focus. Here is a simple method, after a point, forget about it, focus on the next point and breath deeply. Then relax and let go, play the point totally focus. If you can master this method, you will become unstoppable  in no time at all. This should also help you to stop over thinking.

Get Better Everyday

Hey guys, how are you doing ? Today I want to give a quick tip, that will help you to get better everyday. After you get your tennis scholarship or before, make sure that you feel, that you are getting better everyday. As I have said tennis is a FEEL GAME, thats it! The more you improve your feel for your game, the faster you will improve.  Its all about repetition and focus, you have to hit 1000s  of balls, while using self feedback, to groove the stroke. Then the stroke will develop on its own, your job is to get out of your own way. This is how you can master any stroke that you wish. Now get to work on your game and use this method everyday you step out on the court. This along, with a positive attitude, will make you unstoppable. Getting better everyday, mean working on all parts of your game to the point where, you just play and let your instincts take over. One more thing, always stay relax when you play. Notice how all the pros make it look so easy, because they have put in the work and they are relax when they play. They have the TRUST FACTOR in their favor, so can you. Okay, time to get to work!

Build a Team

First thing for all recruits out there, is build a team, that should consist of your coach , parents and one more person who can advise you. Doesn't have to be a recruit, if you can't afford one , just get somebody you trust to come on board. Now sit down and come up with a plan, which should include the division you can play at and how many schools you will contact. Don't try to make your plan perfect, just get started and revise it as you go along.  You should be able narrowed it down to your top 5 and then a final one. I wouldn't waste time with schools that didn't give me a good vibe, just move on to the next one. This will allow you, to be more productive, also help you to get your tennis scholarship faster.  Its not difficult at all,and you don't need to pay a lot of money for a recruiter. You and your team, can do it all, so save yourself the trouble and the money. Last tip, make sure everybody on your team, has confidents in you and are positive, I know you know this, but i still see teams, that are not on the same page. Its up to you to take control and take action for your team. Good luck!

Start Early

Start working on coming up with a plan, to get a tennis scholarship as soon as possible. First decide, what level you can play at, D1,D2, or NAIA, also junior college is a option. There is a tennis scholarship out there, you just have to find it. When evaluating your level get 2 or 3 second opinions from people you respect and who are going to be honest with you. Next,  make your player profile, which should include video of your play. Tip for the video, give them only shots of your best play. So, edit, edit, edit. Now its time to contact the schools, I would contact as many as possible, to speed up the process. Then narrow it down to 5 and take it from there. Your job is to connect with the coach and let him or her know that you will be a great fit for their program. All coaches are looking for players, with a positive attitude and a great work ethic .  Check your attitude now and see where you are at, on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being the highest. Then go to work on improving it, its all about getting and maintaining a positive attitude, this will help you, in the recruiting process. Don't waste time with schools, who aren't giving you a good vibe, focus on the ones that seem interested. This is were self confidents comes in, the coach has to feel your self-confidents, before you even say a word! Now thats the type of confidents you must develop, if you want to be successful in life. So, come up with a plan and tweak it as you go along. But start as early as you can and try to get a verbal commitment by your junior year.  For more information, go to Kindle and check out my e book(How to Get a Tennis Scholarship).
