Hey guys, how the winter holidays so far? This is the best time of the year for spending time with your family, please enjoy it. Now lets talk about how to train to get the most out of it. First, break it down to pre-season, during season and off season. Make a plan for how you can build your game to PEAK when the season begins, then during the season focus on MATCH PLAY and getting and staying mentally tough, the off season should be a time to work on developing new strokes, never work on a new stroke before, you should only do this during the off-season. The key to becoming efficient in your training is to keep REVISING it as you go along, stay current and if you have a trainer, make sure they are up to date on whats going on with the latest training methods. Also, train like you will play, meaning take short break, like you would in a match between points and focus on improving your FIRST STEP! I train all my junior to keep improving their first step, I read some where that in the modern game today, you have about 3 to 5 seconds between shots, so that tell you all you need to know right there! You have to get quicker, so make sure 80% of your training in catered to that area. Last thing, go all out when you train, put all your energy in it then, and this is most important, GIVE MORE. Thats the only way you can improve your condition, keep pushing yourself every week, you should FEEL yourself getting stronger and stronger every week. Once this becomes a habit,Free Tennis Scholarships you will be on your way to taking your game to another level!
